Do I need to add any exclusions to get this to work?

I need to track visits to pdfs in the media library where the link is shared via email or social media.

    Thanks for any help

Hello. Track The Click cannot track links from social media or emails. It will only see clicks on your WordPress site itself.

    Hi

Thanks. Just to clarify, the shared links are on the WordPress site itself. They are items in the site’s media library. We want to be able to track how many times they are visited.

This information is in your web server’s access logs. Track The Click does not look at those, instead it monitors how many times links on the site are clicked. If the link that people are clicking is on social media or in an email, Track The Click isn’t designed to count those visits.
