How to get rid of “published on” date on single event page?

Is there are setting in Events Manager to disable the “published on” date on single event pages? Or does it depend on the theme?

I think this info is not relevant for events, and also there seems to be a bug: the publishing date is always the same as the event date, in spite of the publishing date being different. Could plugin developers please have a look into this, please? I think this is defenitely not a desired behaviour.
