Can not activate or delete plugin

  • I am using Dreamhost server and recently their server got down. However, today I recovered my website. But I faced a problem I can not activate or even delete the Google stories plugin from my site.
    The message1: Deletion failed: There has been a critical error on this website.Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.
    The message2: Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
    Warning: include(/home/dh_xyqm2s/papernow.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/web-stories/includes/vendor/composer/../../Infrastructure/Injector/FallbackInstantiator.php): Failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/dh_xyqm2s/papernow.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/web-stories/third-party/vendor/composer/ClassLoader.php on line 571

  • You can try accessing your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and then deleting the web-stories plugin folder over there.

    You can also ask at https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/web-stories/ so the plugin’s/theme’s developers and support community can help you with this plugin’s fatal error.

    @ivahyael This is what I also did. I just deleted the plugin because I had no visual content. But there should be another way to fix it because if I have visual content then it will be deleted that no one wants.
