[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] flash upload button missing

When I click to add new media, my flash upload button is missing. This happened once before, but I can’t remember how I resolved it. I’ve searched threads for solutions. It seems when I add a new plug-in that this happens–or just coincidence? Does anyone know how to resolve this (easily, for the basic user)? Thank you!
