• Removes more possibilities than it adds, zero documentation.

Works great on their sample content and homepage and on literally nothing else.

hi Eric, if it is the first time you using block themes, then I can tell you that block themes are the opposite of your opinion and is very customizable. and its not only on the homepage. let me tell you a little about block themes:

    1. You can edit template of the themes from Appearance > Editor
    2. if you need to edit another template, go to the top of editor (you will notice name of current template that you edit, For example, Front Page), and click browse all template. Here you can find which template you want to edit. and all those page are editable. just like front page.
    3. Some of the templates are reserved for WordPress page hierarchy purposes, for example, Search, Single Post, Page, Archive, etc.
    4. Other templates (usually on our themes using small case) need to be assigned on page. just like you assign template on legacy themes. please take a look at image, https://prnt.sc/6WlUkZ22KoYV. when you edit page, you will notice you can change your page template.
    5. you can also create new template from page. or edit template from page.

hopefully, my short explanation can change your perception of block themes. we understand that block themes is very new and the documentation is very lacking. we plan to create complete tutorial about block themes in near future on youtube.

    Thank you
