    Hi,

    Problem 1

I placed an example video at the bottom of the page in the link. On mobile devices, there is no progress bar and no ability to skip around in the video. That feature is less than 1/2 centimeter long, so it’s unusable. When you click full screen, same problem in portrait. In full screen landscape, you can skip around in the video.

    Problem 2

There is no option to enable video captions.

    Problem 3

I added the channel ID in settings, but the subscribe button does not show in videos.

    Thanks

  • Hi There!

Thanks for reaching out! We are not allowed to give support for the Pro version here due to WP.org rules. Could you open up a support ticket?

I’m using the FREE version. I never said I had the pro version. Why are you pretending that I did?

Why are you pretending that I did?

People are allowed to make mistakes and you are being helped by a volunteer (paulkam11) helping another volunteer (that’d be you) for free.

I’m a potential buyer of the pro product. That all depends on whether problems with the free product can be resolved.

It’s early for me and I’ll try to be concise. Also I’m a forum moderator who has nothing to do with any plugin or theme.

I’m a potential buyer of the pro product.

So what? Why would that matter at all?

You’re not a customer here and “potential buyer” is meaningless on this site. At best you are an opensource collaborator. The developer and their plugin support do not owe you anything including a reply. It’s great that they do support their opensource free code but allow them mistakes and let’s all be civil to each other.

I’m ready to be civil when you are. If the problems with the free product don’t get resolved, the developer loses $399 USD.

    Hello @monkeywisdom

    Thank you for your update.

Problem 1 there is no progress bar and no ability to skip around in the video.

As checked, there is. Here is the screencast – https://d.pr/v/IgmavM

Kindly share a screenshot of what you meant by no progress bar and no ability to skip in the video.

Problem 2 – There is no option to enable video captions.

As of now, captions are only available for Bunny.net and self-hosted videos.

Problem 3 – I added the channel ID in settings, but the subscribe button does not show in videos.

Kindly share a screenshot of this with us since this can be found via Presto Player > Settings > Integrations; however, if you are in the free version, it will show a white page.

I hope that helps. I am looking forward to your response.

Have a great day ahead. ??

Thanks. You need to check Problem 1 on a mobile device in portrait orientation. Your screencast is from a desktop computer. There is no problem on desktop.

    Problem 2: Solved.

Problem 3: Pro options are marked with “pro”. That option is not. It lets me enter the channel ID and save it. The channel ID is correct. Now, as in a minute ago, when I go to settings, the Integrations tab doesn’t work. The others do work. Performance shows options, and so does General.

    Thanks again.

    Hello there,

Problem 1 – Can be solved by clicking the fullscreen. Here is the screencast – https://d.pr/v/kswX6d

Problem 3 – Sorry, still confused about how you entered the Channel ID since the such feature is not available on Presto Player free version.

Kindly share a screenshot with us for us to check further.

We are looking forward to your response.

Hi. Yes. That screencast is the mobile version. Look to the left of the time. You see that tiny thing that you can tap and move through time in the video? Did you try using it? It’s impossible to go to a particular point of time in the video. It’s too small. That’s the problem number 1.

As for 2: It allowed me to enter the channel ID and click save for some reason. It did not say “Pro” in that section for some reason. If that’s supposed to be Pro version only, then the problem’s solved as long as I have the free version.

So the only remaining problem is problem 1. Thanks.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for your update.

Yes, your observation is correct. Let me inform our development team about this for feature improvement.

In the meantime, you can click on fullscreen to view the player controls properly.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have other questions.

    Hello there,

Just an update about your Problem 3 Channel ID.

Our development ran a hotfix for the Integration part, and you can update the Presto Player free version now you will be available to see this option –

    https://d.pr/i/Mym7T2

You have the option to enter the Youtube Channel ID.

Please let us know if you have other questions.

    (@monkeywisdom)

Ah yes. They were probably trying to roll that out when I first got the player. Thanks.

But then again, you mentioned that that feature will only work on BunnyCDN or another integration, right? Those integrations would be available in the Pro version.

    Hello there,

If you are referring to the caption, yes, you are correct.
