3.1 – What happened to embedded video button?

I’m new to WordPress. Is there an easy procedure for backing out the 3.1 upgrade and reverting to the previous version?

The object place holder is a tinymce config issue, and it is a pain to fix manually. I had to fix it by editing…. post.php in wp-admin/ …. I THINK! I’ll run a file compare in the morning and update. [apologies, can’t do the file compare on my iPad. ?? ]

I have this plugin Viper’s Video Quicktags and I have all video tags on my editor and other plugin I have is TinyMCE Advanced gives extended editor.

The question is: do you see this yellow box?

Yes you will see that but once you publish or update you will the video on page.
You will not see the video in editor

I installed the Vipers Video Quicktags plugin just to try if I could see any videobox in my editor, but still no yellow box. Before I updated WordPress there always was a yellow flashbox. Can someone help??!!

You need to go in Settings and click on Video Quicktags and tick the ones you want to see in the editor.

Yes, and after I did that still no videobutton appears, so it has something to do with the update of WordPress yesterday.
