Can't leave comment on Blog page

  • Hi, I am a bit new to wordpress and I am helping a professor put up here blog page, and here is my problem we have a blog called Transparency blog, there some test postings in there, we want to be able to put comments in each stream but every time i click to put a comment it says page not found, I am graphic designer and I know very little of code and stuff can somebody give us a hand

  • sorry i cant be of to much help, did you install wp manually?

    if you notice when you click Leave a Comment, or anything outside of your navigation bar,

    it goes to a duplicate link

    like that, this is whats breaking things, im not sure how to had wp installed but something is not configured correctly, and unfortunately i couldnt tell you what that would be.

    taht’s usually a permalinks issue.

    You can set them back to default, and then test your site. If all is well, set back to custom using an approved permalinks structure

    If, when permalinks are at default, you still have the issue then test site with all plugins deactivated.

    In the wp-admin go to “Settings” > “Permalinks”, choose the default setting and save the changes

    Thank you so much for this post, I have been having the same issue and have reset my permalinks and it resolved the issue.
    I have now switched them back to how I wanted them set up and it is still working!!!
