    Hi,

    The plug-in is randomly giving 404’s when trying to view/edit some posts or content types. Sometimes you’re also unable to visit the custom set log-in link.

    Only solution I can find is removed the plug-in entirely, but I would like to keep the /wp-admin/ hidden.

    It is completely random. When trying incognito mode the 404’s are no longer an issue, so it seems to be some sort of caching. Even though the force reload/erase cache for the specific site is not always working to “fix” this.

    The main struggle is that something I can edit a page/post, but a colleague is having problems and get’s a 404 error.

    Is there any solution or cause for these problems?

    Hello,

    Thanks for using WPS Hide Login.

    Are you using a cache plugin or a CDN (Cloudflaire etc…) ? wp-login.php and wp-admin can be cached in these tools settings. They mustn’t.

    Hi,

    Nope, I’m not using any of that nor any form of .htaccess caching.

    Did you try to deactivate every plugins except WPS Hide Login. I think there is a conflict with anoter one.

    Hi,

    This did not resolve the issue. For as far I can see the issue does come in combination with a plug-in. We use the Infinite WordPress dashboard to log-in to WordPress websites and when using this to sign into 1 or 2 websites the issue occurs.

    When manually logging into the website the issue does not occur, so;

    Log-in from iWP dashboard –> some posts and posttypes give random 404 errors
    Manually loggin into the CMS these issue do not occur.

    Hello,

    Then, it’s a conflict with this other plugin which must require wp-login.php and not your secret slug.

    The dev team can fix the issue or give us a the filter to add in WPS Hide Login to work with it. We’ll add it in the next release.
