My site went down yesterday and my hosting company found that it was this plug-in causing the issue. They disabled it and my site started to function normally again. They recommended I reach out to have it reviewed. I’m hesitant to activate the plug-in again if it may cause my site to go down.

What do you recommend I do?

Hi @jaycoale, this is obviously not something that the plugin is engineered to do. Did your host have any logs or information to share that described the problem? We’re happy to investigate further and help however we can.

Hello, this is all the information they gave me:

“Upon checking, it’s one of your plugins (mailchimp-for-woocommerce) causing the issue. I temporarily disabled the plugin renaming it manually from mailchimp-for-woocommerce to mailchimp-for-woocommerce.bak. The site is loading after I disabled the plugin. I will recommend reaching out to your web developer or plugin developer to have it reviewed. Updating or reinstalling the plugin might also help fix the issue. If you’re not using it, you can also remove it.”

I’m not sure what they did exactly to check out the issue, but I believe it happened when the plugin tried to auto-update to the most recent version.

@jaycoale please try looking at your WooCommerce FATAL logs to see if it shows anything of substance on the day you did this. We would like to know your environment from WooCommerce if possible to see if there’s a conflict somewhere with PHP versions, or possibly you ran into memory issues on the auto update. This has not come up before so it could very well just be a one off issue with the hosting machine too.

How do I find my WooCommerce FATAL logs? I can’t seem to find them.
