[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] adding an image from the gallery admin screen

This plugin was one of the main reasons I started working with WordPress a year ago. It is awesome. There is one thing that does never seem to improve with upgrades and it bears mentioning.

The normal workflow of working with galleries is to go to the gallery and and then add images to that gallery if need be. There is no link from the gallery page to the image upload page that I can find. It would be great if for usability if it had a link on the gallery page that said “add images to this gallery”. It seems like this would be a simple addition to the code and would raise usability up a few notches.

As it is however, this plugin is still in my top 5 even without this.
