I’m currently using the Kadence theme. Most of the content on my website so far has been in custom post types with data and taxonomy is created through advance custom fields (ACF). Using the back and admin search, I can see that Relevanssi has indexed all the custom fields properly. Unfortunately, when using search on the front end, I’m not able to see any results.

I’ve tried switching over to the default WordPress themes TwentyTwenty, TwentyTwenyOne, TwentyTwenyTwo, but I’m still not seeing results. I’ve run this both on my local development environment (Local by Flywheel) and on the development cloud site (host armada).

    Any suggestions?

Oh nevermind. I discovered the conflict only occurs when I have a the plugin “FacetWP – Relevanssi integration” active. So I’ll contact the FacetWP team and let them know about this issue with Version 0.7.3

I guess the bug here is mainly in the documentation. The thing with the FacetWP Relevanssi integration plugin is that it’s only required in some cases. It is necessary if you use facets in the search. The integration plugin should not be used if you use facets elsewhere but not in the search.

yeah unfortunately, I DO want to use a Relevanssi powered search on the Faceted search page. See https://dev.pdxwlf.com/ for example. It seems like I can either have a Relevanssi powered faceted normal search (https://dev.pdxwlf.com/?s=noah) but NOT a faceted search on the page outputting the listings (https://dev.pdxwlf.com/?_filter_by_keywords=noah), which is how I have it now as the “FacetWP – Relevanssi integration” plugin is disabled. OR I could have it vice versa, but NOT BOTH at once. Which is annoying but certainly not @msaari’s fault or responsibility.

Guess I’ll choose the primary search option as that’s probably more useful sitewide for visitors.

I’m not familiar enough with FacetWP to tell if that’s possible; it may be, or maybe not. There may be some filter hook options you could use to use Relevanssi in both cases.

It may be helpful to ask FacetWP support about this.
