    1. What is the best way to create feeds?
    Like this:

    – Google Free Listings
    – Google Shopping ads

    2. Where is the best way to manage product below a prices and specific categories we want in the Google Shopping ads?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

    With regards to your questions:

    • The Google Free listings and Google Shopping Ads both need products to be in your Google Merchant Center. For that you can use the same single feed. Bear in mind though that the requirements to get listed in the free listings are more strict, a GTIN for all your products is mandatory whereas for the normal Google Shopping Ads this is not mandatory
    • When you want to manage products below a specific price you can create an exclude rule for that in the feed configuration
    • When you want only specific categories to go into Google Shopping Ads whereas you want to have all of your categories into the free listings you do need to create two separate feeds. One for the free listings containing all products and another one for Google Shopping Ads where you exclude the categories through exclude rules that you do not want to have in your feed

    Hope this helps?

    Hello,

    Thanks for the fast reply.

I have tried to make 2 feeds, but when i want to make the feed for the google shopping ads i have the problem that them xml file is empty when i add a specific catogory. When i make a separate feed for this its working fine.

    How can i resolve this?

You probably created a filter that is wrong and excluding all products from your feed. Can you show us a screenshot of all the filters you created?

    This are the only 3:

    Thanks for sharing.

You created three include only filters whereas you can have only 1 include only filter per configured feed. That is why your feed is empty.

Perhaps you can solve this by creating multiple exclude filters (of which you can use multiple in one feed configuration).

Can you make an example of this?

Is it possible in the lite version with more include?

    Thanks!

The real “problem” is that you want to include products of only two categories. I think you can best solve that by going for the product tag solution as being described here: https://adtribes.io/how-to-include-only-a-couple-of-products-to-your-product-feed/

So all products you want to be included in your feed should have the same product tag value and then you create 1 include only filter on that product tag value.

The price filter you can change into an exclude filter by creating a filter that excludes all products from your feed when they have a price higher than 750.

That should solve the issue at hand.

I have used the product tag with succes last months.

I have only the problem that i have now that the products are gives an warning:

    Article uploaded through multiple feeds

    How can i fix this?

Must i use 1 primary feed (Google Free Listings) and additional Feed (Google Shopping ads) ? Or 2 primary feeds?

    Thanks!

You indeed must use one primary feed, usually this is your normal Google Shopping feed. When you have multiple primary feeds that hold the same products than indeed you will get the “article uploaded through multiple feeds” warning.

What is the best way to manage this with one feed?

    – Google Free Listings (without advertising)
    – Google Shopping ads (advertising)

When adding a feed as primary feed you can select if you would like to use that feed for Free Listings and/or Ads. So you can use one feed for both. See: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6d77su30fa8trkq/Free-and-Paid.png?dl=0

    Yes i see.

We have a lot of products that we don’t want to advertise. As an example 600 out of 4000. If we use 1 feed we can’t split it up.

How can I manage that with 1 feed?

You cannot. If you want to use different products for your free listings and your paid listings than you need to use different feeds.

    (@anti89)

Yes. I had that. But i had this error message from the description above all the time with 2 feeds.

Thats why i am asking how other company’s manage that.

You could try making the g:id values unique by adding a value in the “prefix” field on the field mapping section of the plugin. So for example for the free listings put FREE- in it. That will make the ID’s unique compared with the paid products.
