• Hi Everyone.

I set up this website a few years ago and I can’t seem to log in to wp admin to manage it anymore.

I set it up through my domain manager Eco Web Hosting – but if I click on the WordPress link there it seems to want to install a completely new version of WordPress meaning I would lose all my content from before?

Does anyone know how to help please?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • The backend of your wordpress can be reached here: https://sustainablesarah.uk/wp-login.php – there you should be able to log in with your known login data. If this link is different from the one provided by your hoster, contact your hoster’s support to clarify.

    Hi,

    1. You can login from https://sustainablesarah.uk/wp-login.php or if you lost the credentials i would suggest to recover or change the login info from Hosting>cpanel>phpmyadmin>YOUR SITE DATABASE NAME>wp_users Table. You may take help from this article https://www.bookwebmaster.com/wp/get-wordpress-username-and-password-from-the-database/

    2. Maybe you are talking about quick installation WordPress link. If you reinstall wordpress from the domain manager, yes it will replace your website content.

    Hi-

I’ve managed to log into phpMyAdmin and I can see the username and email address registered but when I try to log in to WP it claims there is no such username or email address?

Do you possibly have several databases in the hosting and look into the wrong one? Which database is used by your WordPress installation can be seen in the wp-config.php file. There are the access data stored.

If you have a multisite installation, there are also several users tables. Here you should find the one that stands for the web you want to log in to.
