• Hi

I’ve just put my new website live, all is working fine in Chrome but the homepage doesn’t show in Safari.

All other pages work but whatever page I set as the homepage, it doesn’t show, instead I get a sample page listing –
‘Hello world! Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start writing!’

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The staging site works fine and it is the same install on both the staging and live site.

    Thanks

  • I also only see this placeholder text on the live domain – no matter which browser. How did you set up this installation? Did you clone the staging page, if so which way? Does the live site have the same plugins (including Elementor, I see in the staging)?

Yes, I exported from the staging site using the all-in-one migration plugin then imported the same way. Exactly the same plugins used on both sites.

You seem to be using a caching plugin, probably from your hoster IONOS. You should clear its cache.
