    Hi,

This is my first time using Simple Lightbox on my WordPress site. I have a few questions regards to adding Simple Lightbox to my images on WordPress.

    1) I am looking to add an exit button to my images as indicated on the screenshot below. I don’t want to go back to the prev. page to exit the image.

    2) I am currently using the Gutenverse Gallery Element on my website which also has the function to enlarge an image when you click on it. The trouble I am having is that because it’s a gallery image there is a function to be able to scroll through that gallery, but because I am only displaying one picture at a time and not multiple images in one gallery, it only displays that one image in the gallery when I scroll through which is not suitable for me.

Does Simple Lightbox have that function to add a scroll through function to display all the images on one page?

    Hi,

    1) Is the close button not being displayed in the lightbox as per your screenshot? If not, please provide a screenshot of what you are seeing in the lightbox on your site. A link to a page that exhibits the issue you are experiencing would also be very useful in evaluating the issue directly.

    2) Please provide more details on what you mean by “scroll through”. Screenshots, links, etc. that illustrate what you are referring to would be very helpful.

When grouping is enabled in SLB’s settings, the lightbox provides controls for navigating through associated links on the page (within the same post, gallery, widget, menu, etc.).

    Hi,

    1) There is no close button being displayed. Please see screenshot

    2) I see my SLB’s settings for grouping is enabled. I will test it quickly to see if it does what I need it to do. I will let you know soon.

    Hi,

So, the SLB’s settings for grouping is enabled. This is one of my pages with multiple images as per screenshot
    https://paste.pics/d97c1a640bd314547f62dd0cd9e7b3eb

Lightbox is activated on all of these images. But I am still not able to scroll through the images once they are enlarged as seen in this screenshot
    https://paste.pics/27dc94638d61c67d392af59bea871bd3

In this screenshot I am using the Gutenverse Gallery Element for my images. I am able to scroll through the images with this widget, but it’s only displaying one image as there is only one image in the Gallery. Their normal image element does not support the “click to enlarge image” option.

My conclusion is once the image is clicked on and enlarged, I will need to be able to scroll through all the images on the page with any photo Clicked on.

Hi, based on your 2nd screenshot, the images files are being loaded directly in the browser, not in a lightbox (see the file name in the address bar).

As this appears to be a local site, I cannot evaluate the issue directly, so I recommend the following:

    1. Confirm the site and theme meet SLB’s basic requirements.
    2. Update your version of Simple Lightbox as your issue may have been resolved an update.
    3. Confirm that SLB is enabled globally and on the page/post type you are using (via SLB’s admin settings).
    4. Clear your browser’s cache and test your site again to make sure the browser is using the latest code.
    5. Check for any plugin/theme conflicts that may be preventing SLB from functioning (instructions).

Please provide a link to any plugins/themes that are conflicting with SLB and I will see whether anything can be done from SLB’s end.

If you are still experiencing an issue after the above steps, please provide:

    1. A screenshot of SLB’s options page.
    2. Name and link of the theme you are using.
    3. List of other active plugins (with links).

Unfortunately, as localhost server configurations can vary wildly and are not publicly accessible, there’s not much I can do to evaluate the issue further. If you can provide a publicly accessible link to a page that exhibits the issue you are experiencing, I would be glad to take a closer look.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I am using Simple Lightbox. I followed instructions on how to add the images. How should I add the images in a lightbox if there is no such option?

    1) My site theme does meet the requirements
    2) The version is updated
    3) I have attached the settings that I have for Simple Lightbox
    4) Done that too
    5) Done that too

I just want a close button on the images. That is all…. I don’t care about the scroll through now. The site that I am working on is for the company that I work for. Unfortunately, the MD needs to be on a loacalhost before going live which will be Dec only.

These are my settings. This is all that is featured on Simple Lightbox

Hi, for clarification, while SLB may be activated, the screenshot you provided shows that the image files are being loaded directly by the browser, not in a lightbox.

This indicates that something is preventing SLB from functioning properly. For example, there are a number of JavaScript errors on your publicly-accessible site, so the same errors may be occurring on your localhost site. Such JS errors can prevent other code from running.

You can check for JS errors in your browser’s developer console. Once the JS errors are resolved/removed, SLB should be able to function normally.

SLB’s settings in the screenshots you provided look fine, so resolving JS errors caused by other plugins/themes is the first recommendation.

If you are still experiencing an issue after that, please provide a link to a page that exhibits the issue, and I would be glad to take a closer look.

    Thanks.
