    Hi,

I really need some urgent help here, for I deactivated Buddy Press (because I decided wait a while, before I started using it). When I did deactivate it, doing so basically screwed up my whole installation, because I now cannot even get into the wp-admin or even the front page. I get the following message come up:

Warning: require_once(BP_PLUGIN_DIR/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/ajax.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/…/wp-content/themes/sense-and-sensibility-bp/bp/bp-functions.php on line 4

Can anyone please help in rectifying this situation, for I really do not want to have to delete the whole thing and reinstalling it (fortunately I had not begun to start posting yet).

    Thanks in advance.
    Tor…

  • Because the theme (mine) is calling the plugin directly. So, disable the theme via ftp.

Ta for that. What would be the best way for me to do that? I’ve not disabled a plugin or theme that way before, so do not want to mess it up further.

Go in via ftp, find the themes directory and rename the sense&sensibility folder. this will case WP to not find the theme, and reset it to the twentyten theme.

you might have to refresh the wp screen a couple times.

Thank you for that, it now appears to have fixed the problem :0).
