Updating question about themes

    I upgraded to wp version 3.0 from 2.7. the permalinks don’t work anymore and i have to put them on default to get my posts to show up. I found out the theme I’m using isn’t ready for 3.0. Is that what could be causing the permalink problems? or is that just something that happens when you update?

  • it’s probably related to the theme. Or plugins. A lot has changed since then. Switch to the new default theme, twentyten, and deactivate all your plugins. Now see if permalinks can be changed

    thanks for your suggestion.

    I’m currently working on my first theme. I started before WP3 was released. It’s not ready yet, but when I activate the bits that are, I don’t get the new menu items in the backend.

    What do I have to do to update my theme so I can use the new V.3 functionality (especially the new ‘create menu’ page)?
