I installed Activitypub and WebFinger on my WP site. Everything appears to function without error. When I follow the account on Mastodon, it shows number of posts but the actual posts never appear anywhere.

Exact same question here, I don’t see old posts (except under number of posts) and I only see a new post when I publish. Now, deleting that test post leaves the post in my ‘feed’. Is this the expected behaviour? Is it impossible to manage the feed or have it show historical posts, it’s just a one-way ‘crosspost’ to the fediverse that can’t be managed later?

Just trying to understand what is supposed to be possible at this point.

@robattrell I’ve seen the same behavior. My deleted test post is still in my feed. Not really a big deal but it does look like maybe deleting posts isn’t possible right now?

This is an issue with Mastodon. Mastodon does not “crawl” old posts, so only posts that where created after the “follow” will be federated.

@tierran the problem with the deleted posts is a known issue, which will be fixed here: https://github.com/pfefferle/wordpress-activitypub/pull/142

Same as @sejb I can find my profile in Mastodon, but it appears like a blank profile (even after posting news articles, after the activation of the plugin).
