• I have tried on 5 different blogs and 5 different themes to use the More tag and there is something here I just dont understand. When I insert the tag the post is divided ok but when clicking on the More tag absolutely nothing happens.

It makes a link https://www.mysite.com/#more-185 but this link seems to be the actual page so it just reloads.

Have I missed something fundamental here?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks – I did try no 1 & 2 multiple times the latest days. I tried no 3 right now but no difference

And for some spooky reason the More Tag doesnt divide the page anymore on any of the blogs or FireFox or Ie or different themes. I can see the Tag in Show/Source: <span id=”more-58″> but this doesnt seem correct…

I also tried the custom-excerpts plugin to make a short post but this had no effect either.

Now the More code just looks like this: <p> <!–more–></p>

The code is definately not inserted correct by the editor here.

I also tried the FCK editor to see if the code was different but it wasnt. Google Chrome=no difference

3 different computers, 3 browsers and 10 themes = same reaction. Im afraid the problem is on my side of the keyboard …
