    Hi,

There’s an issue with this plugin. When an admin edits and saves a user profile via WordPress backend user profile settings, it will send an email to that user: “Notice of Email Change Request” (with link to /wp-admin/user-edit.php?wpbb_email_change_action=update*****), even if there’s no change for email address. And from the Admin’s fontend profile, there will be a notice that there’s a request to change admin’s email to the edited user’s email.

So, any edit from WordPress backend user profile settings, will trigger admin’s email change to the edited user’s email.

    Please advise. Regards.

  • Hi Malvyn,

I just tested this and don’t get the same result. I updated a URL on the profile, and nothing was sent. I also checked using a free plugin called Email Log. Good luck!

    Hi @insee77,

Thank you for reporting this, I was able to observe the issue you’ve described. I am forwarding this to our development team, where they will get it fixed in one of our future updates to Profile Builder (we release a new update every two weeks, so the fix will come in one of these future updates).

This issue seems to be related to the “Email confirmation” when changing user email address setting. This setting can be found in Profile Builder -> Settings -> Advanced settings -> Forms

    Hi @fredeval

Did you test by updating your own profile (admin) or another user’s profile? Did you use WordPress backend Users edit (wp-admin/user-edit.php?user_id=****)?

If admins update their own profile, then no emails will be sent (Yes, I’ve tested this scenario). But if admins edit other user’s profile, then it will send the email to the edited user.

    Hi @alexandrubodea

Thanks for your attention. I’m waiting for the next update.

    Best regards,

@insee77 My error. I was actually able to reproduce what you are experiencing. I didn’t have the box checked on my staging copy.
