    Hello @blue_life

Thanks for reaching out about your FAQ pages. Can you share how those pages were created? Was it a plugin, a custom post type or the Yoast SEO structured data blocks?

It’d also be helpful if you could provide the site URL to contextualise the reported issue.

Hello and a big thank you for your quick reply !

Faq’s pages are created via Yoast FAQ.
I use Avada for the site but for these 2 particular pages I disabled it and used only gutemberg.

Each page links to its other language version ( using plolylang plugin for this ).
+ Each page has its own canonical URL.

As for the url’s I am very sorry but I do not wish to share them here, it’s a professional / official site.

I can share other details if you need.

Note : Both url’s are found via a xml sitemap generator I have.
    So it’s Strange.

    @blue_life Thanks for your reply.

The main reason a URL wouldn’t appear in the sitemap is that it’s setting for ‘Show in search results’ to ‘No’ either in the Yoast SEO>Search Appearance area (where you can set this value for the entire content type or taxonomy) or for that individual page in the Yoast meta box that appears below the content when you are on the edit screen. When this value is set to ‘No’ it sets the robots meta tag to ‘noindex’ and the page/pages are removed from the sitemap.

Can you please check that for both of these that the ‘Show in search results’ setting is set to ‘Yes’?

We also have a guide on setting this value here: How do I noindex URLs?

    Thank you for your feedback.
It is set to YES on both : Yoast main settings ( for pages (page)
    + for each page.

For each Faq page I also also set settings on :

    Page type
    FAQ Page
    Article type
    Article

    Edit/
Just to be sure I see also that each page source has the good meta
    <meta name=’robots’ content=’index, follow

    Hey @blue_life,

Thank you so much for your reply.

Hmm. It’s hard to pinpoint where things are going wrong on your site without being able to look at any URL. If you do see the right robot meta tag then we expect it to show up on your sitemap. Is your sitemap cached by any chance by any caching plugins? Please know that it is best to exclude your sitemaps from your cache – see https://yoast.com/help/exclude-sitemaps-from-cache/.

If not, please share a URLs to the FAQ pages and the sitemap so we can check more things.

    Hi team !
I confirm that I have no cache plugin. Only my server

    < Cache-Control: max-age=10800, private, proxy-revalidate
    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    < Server: nginx
    < Date: Fri, 16 Dec 2022 12:56:03 GMT
    < Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
    < Transfer-Encoding: chunked
    < Connection: keep-alive
    < Vary: Accept-Encoding, Accept-Encoding
    < X-Powered-By: PHP/8.0.26, PleskLin

    Also :
I’ve been monitoring this problem since my last comment.
Today’s news : English version page of faq’s DOES appear.
    Greek version, NOT.

    …I am stumped.
    and keep on investigating.

remark : I tested my greek page on Rich Results Test / gogle tool and it does support rich results.

    Hi team.

A final update. I found the culprit !!
the “Google-selected canonical” was flagged as ::
    “Same as user-declared canonical”.
I removed my canonical URL from Yoast page option ( it was indeed the exact same URL…my rookie mistake with canonical stuffs ).
And the FAQ page appears now in XML ( after refresh)>

    Problem solved.
Sorry for the long thread / my mistake.
Thank you again & All the best !
