Hi. I’ve installed ECN and the first thing that comes up is:

No supported event calendar plugin available.
Event Calendar Newsletter takes the details of your upcoming events to put inside your newsletter from one of the supported WordPress event calendar plugins.
Install one of the supported calendars, which include:
The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe
    Events Manager
    Event Organiser

The problem is that I already have Events Manager installed. How do I get it to recognize that EM is already on my system?

    …Matt

    Hi Matt!

I’ve tested with the latest version of Events Manager (6.1.5), along with the latest version of Events Calendar Newsletter (2.14) and it detects Events Manager as expected. What version of Events Manager are you running?

    Cheers!

Thanks for your quick reply, Brian.

Version 6.1.1. I guess I need to upgrade.

    Hi Matt!

That would definitely be a good first step, though our check for seeing if Events Manager is installed hasn’t changed in some time. There may be another conflict with a plugin or a theme that’s causing Event Calendar Newsletter not to see it.

If upgrading to Events Manager 6.1.5 doesn’t do the trick, you’ll need to do something like the following steps to see where the conflict might be:

    1. Ensure you have a backup of your site in case there are any issues when disabling/enabling plugins or your theme
    2. Disable all plugins (except your calendar plugin and this plugin), and switch to a default theme like Twenty Twenty then verify the issue is resolved. You might need to add the shortcode to a new page if you’re currently using a page builder.
    3. Re-enable your plugins and switch back to your previous theme one by one verifying if the issue is still occurring, and note which one causes it to break

If you let us know which plugin/theme causes the issue we may be able to come up with a workaround, but most likely you’ll also need to contact the theme or plugin author and have them fix the issue.

    Cheers!

    Hi Matt!

Looks like there’s a newer plugin that’s using the almost exact same name. We support this older Events Manager plugin:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/events-manager/

We do not support the other one. Hope that answers your question, we’ll add a note in the plugin to avoid confusion in an upcoming release.

Hope that helps, if not let us know!

Thanks for your quick reply, Brian. On your website you say “Do you use another calendar and wondering if support can be added for it??Send a request!” Please consider this my request. ??
