How do you add featured products to the home page without using Woocommerce blocks? I currently use Woocommerce blocks but it’s slow on the back end and doesn’t adapt to the theme for example the image hover effects. I use Spectra with other page builders.

  • Hi @unknownman888,

You can use the native WooCommerce shortcode. This WooCommerce doc will tell you more.

Since the query is, actually, not related to Astra, would you please mark this thread as Resolved? Feel free to start a new thread if there is anything else related to Astra we can help you with.

    Kind regards,

It’s kinda related to the theme because I would like the theme hover effects to work with the blocks. Is this not possible?

Hi @unknownman888, sorry for the delay.

I am a bit lost here. What hover effect you were talking about? Is it possible for you to share your site URL, so I can check it directly from my end?

Also, please share with me the exact step to replicate this, and I will try it on my dev site.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

    Sorry for the late response.

I’m talking about the product image hover effects. On other themes such as Kadence and Neve it will integrate the same customization with Woocommerce product blocks.

To replicate the issue you would just add products to any of the built in Woocommerce product blocks such as hand picked or new products on the home page. Then under Woocommerce > Product catelog > Product Image Hover Style. Then also having the modern add to cart button hover over image.

    Hi @unknownman888,

That option will work only for the Shop/Product Archive page.

Let us know if you need more assistance, otherwise please mark the thread as Resolved.

Ok it would be nice if you can implement this in the future.

We’ll see if it is feasible for us to make it happen.

    Kind regards,

Thank you! I noticed with product shortcodes it does work for the most part. Maybe it will help with the coding.
