    Hey

Qyery loop has a grid view of default 3 columns. Setting this to 4 displays empty for column 4… Is this theme or Block?

  • I changed my test site from 3 columns to 4 with no issues.

Make sure to change the “items per page” to 4 in the display settings, as when you first add a Query Loop the default is 3.

The screenshot is cut off before we can see if there are more than 3 posts to display, so just taking a guess that this might be the issue.

Your right UXL…. It’s a bit like, why won’t my car start. There’s no gasoline. Thx. If I designed this, I would keep columns and items together. I am afraid, you will hear this a lot.

q2: Is it possible to pull a random query? Say I point into a category of featured article. There are 20 of them and I want to display 4 random in grid….

Also can I exclude a category or tag from the random query?

Regarding the random ordering, it has been asked for – https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/40481 – but not been added as of yet. Will it ever be added? Sorry I don’t know the answer to that.

Hi @uxl thanks for helping out here. As it looks like all the questions have been answered, I’ll mark this as resolved.
