From what i see generated sitemap includes specified amount of newest posts based on creation time. Is there a filter that can change that? I kinda want it to show the last edited/modified posts.

I might have a lot of new posts that i do not want put on front page so i set their date as old, which basically makes them out of sitemap. Even though they are the newest ones.

    Hello!

Since TSF v4.0.0, the Sitemap orders post from most recently adjusted. And pages from oldest to newest published. This works exactly as you requested, so I’m confused about your inquiry.

The sitemap queries the front and blog pages independently from the two queries I mentioned above. It is only two pages, so I wouldn’t fuss too much about them.

TSF will change the blog’s (whether front or a separate page) updated time based on the most recent post published.

You can supply WP Query parameters to filter the_seo_framework_sitemap_hpt_query_args for hierarchical post types (pages), and supply to filter the_seo_framework_sitemap_nhpt_query_args for non-hierarchical post types (posts). You can find them detailed here: https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/blob/4.2.7/inc/classes/builders/sitemap/base.class.php#L237-L283.

Please let me know if you require assistance with those filters.
