• 1. Using Oxygen. Ran Google speedtest (page performance 41).
Installed plugin. Optimised all images. Activated ‘picture’ tags. Ran test – 33. Also not all jpg images were replaced with webp version.
Deactivated plugin. Ran test – 45.

So there seems to be something wrong with this switch to ‘picture’ feature. And also, obviously, does not parce 100% of Oxygen built pages correctly. Only standard Oxygen webpage elements used on the tested page (no custom sections).

    2. How mb are calculated for fee purposes is unclear. Info was not explicitly provided in plugin description, otherwise wouldn’t have installed it.
optimized filesize 3.61 mb, original filesize 6.82 mb, you have 52.9% of 20 mb…

    Hi @gabevk

?Sorry to hear about the issue!

?There are a few reasons why WebP will not be displayed using picture tags:

    – background images added via CSS
    – there is no WebP generated
    – page element HTML is loaded after Imagify looks for the source code to apply WebP markup
    – images are external

Can you tell me if you can find relation to some of these points? If not, can you send me your website URL so we could check if further? I guess the score goes down because of WebP but it would be best if we could check it in details.

    Best Regards
    Marko
