    Hello dear Complianz team,

Having noticed the total disappearance of Adsense income since December 17, I searched a little Google Site kit. My publisher code was not appearing in the pages when everything else was ok, I kept digging, and using Troobleshoot mode, it appears that Complianz was the only plugin with that effect.

I changed a parameter (Respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control? No) and then the code appeared as follows:
    data-cmplz-src=”https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-blablabla&host=ca-host-pub-2644536267352236″

But on the one hand the ads still do not appear, and on the other hand the consent banner no longer appears.

I put Yes back and again the code doesn’t show up anywhere (the banner is back and clicking Accept doesn’t show the ads).

Am I configuring Complianz incorrectly to not have Adsense working properly (i.e. when users click Accept)?

    Hi @sophiaknows,

Can we try a couple of things? I see an issue when the page is reloaded or resized. We could first try to enable “Ajax load” under Complianz – Settings (I think advanced). If there an ajax load on your website, this might fix it.

If not, I think it might help to disable Site Kit adding the Adsense snipptet and adding it yourself, but slightly altered:

    <script data-service="general" data-category="marketing" async="async" src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3367279406063216&amp;host=ca-host-pub-2644536267352236" crossorigin="anonymous" type="text/plain"></script>

Let me know if this worked, otherwise I will need to reproduce the issue.

    regards Aert

I have the same problem at https://www.cashodinek.cz/. I tried enabling Ajax. After accepting the marketing cookies, the ads were displayed. However, after reloading the page, they disappeared.
I don’t want to disable SiteKit. I use the plugin because I don’t want to insert the code manually.

Hi @hamil1, where can I find a ad?

If I try https://www.cashodinek.cz/chytre-hodinky/#more-113318&cmplz_safe_mode&ao_nooptimize=1, which disabled Complianz and caching.. I see everything being loaded correctly, but no ads.

Could you deactivate Complianz, or disable the Ads integrations, or enable Safe Mode under settings and let me know at which URL I should look? Thanks!

    regards Aert

    Hi @aahulsebos.
I deactivated Complianz. The ads are showing. They are enabled for the Home page and https://www.cashodinek.cz/co-je-quartz/. They are not enabled for individual posts and the watch catalog.

    Hello @aahulsebos

    Thank you for your answer.

I tried both, enabling Ajax load in Complianz, and disabling Adsense from Site kit and inject the code manually (with Head and Footer plugin), in all cases then the code appears in this line: accountID”:”pub-3367279406063216″,”autoAdsDisabled”

I tried also the basic code from Adsense, the result is the same.

What do you need to reproduce the issue?

Hi @sophiaknows @hamil1, I’m currently setting up a website with this set-up, but I’m waiting for Adsense’s approval for this URL.

In the meantime I’m curious if it’s our changes, or a change in Adsense itself.

Would you be able to a rollback to 6.3.4? In later versions we changed a couple of things in our script blocker that might have caused this.

You can download it here; https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/complianz-gdpr/advanced/ – all the way down. Choose 6.3.4 – You can deactivate, delete the current version and install 6.3.4. settings will remain.

Otherwise, I would suggest deactivating the DoubleClick / Adsense integration under Integrations and wait until I can reproduce the issue.

    Thanks again, regards Aert

    Hi @sophiaknows @hamil1,

Scratch that, I tried a workaround and see the script being removed. We are working on a solution. 6.3.5. should work. regards Aert

    @sophiaknows @hamil1

Can you please try if https://github.com/Really-Simple-Plugins/complianz-gdpr/tree/copy-attribute-fix

works for you? It appears that the issue is caused by a new feature that copies script attributes when re-activating the script. If the data-category and data-service script are excluded from the copying, the problem seems to resolve.

Hello gentlemen and thank you for your attempts.

    @aahulsebos Should I install version 6.4.5?

@rogierlankhorst I’m not sure what to do on Github: Should I copy everything or should I avoid files?

    Thank you all!

I put 6.4.5 while waiting for the other answer, it works. But in doing so, am I stuck on this version?

    Should I try your solution @rogierlankhorst ?

I don’t know if this helps, but we had another issue related to Google and I didn’t think it was related to Complianz: internal traffic IPs were no longer filtered in Analytics reports. Going back to 6.4.5 it’s fixed too.

@sophiaknows the easiest would be to download the zip file, deactivate your current version, then install the version from github.

Wonderful ! Adsense works, thank you!

To be completely complete on the subject, Adsense and Complianz work, and the internal traffic filter works on the GA4 version, but not the UA version (as it should disappear, it may not be so annoying anymore). If you have a track for that, great, otherwise thank you for the main problem, it’s a relief!

    (@aahulsebos)

    Hi @sophiaknows ,

What do you mean with: “internal traffic filter works on the GA4 version”, is this a configuration in Google Analytics itself?

    regards Aert

    Thread Starter sophiaknows

    (@sophiaknows)

    Hi @aahulsebos ,

Yes, I’m talking about how to avoid counting visits from the office in Analytics. In UA we have been using IP filters for years which worked perfectly, in GA4 we created a rule to identify internal traffic in the web data stream and then excluded with a filter. I don’t know why it is handled differently (the same IPs are blocked).

So, as I said, I noticed the difference at the same time as the subject of this thread, but didn’t link them. This morning, after I put 6.3.5, everything was fine, filters in UA and GA4 were working again, but now with 6.3.9, UA IP filters are not working, but GA4 is working fine. I’ve installed 6.3.9 on two websites and it’s the same on both.

After the latest Complianz update, the ads AdSense are showing on my site. Thank you.
