Append rows on TOP of the existing table (not bottom)

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

At this time, the import does indeed only offer “appending to the end”, “replacing a complete table”, and “create a new table”.

Could you maybe explain what kind of data you are dealing with in your table? Maybe I can suggest a different solution instead.

Alternatively, you could also consider prepending the new data to the existing table offline, e.g. in Excel, after first exporting the existing table to a CSV file. After prepending the new rows at the beginning, you could then import that modified CSV file with the “replace” option.

Yes im doing that only as of now, i add the data to the excel and replace it. with the existing table.

But i think it will affect the seo of the page because everytime new table is inserted, i don’t know? Also a big problem is that everytime when i replace the table with new table the inserted links disappear and it is a tough job to insert the links everytime.

Its just that if we could have an option to append the imported data at the top of the existing table.

Or an alternate option could be – when imported data is appended at the end we could drag the rows to the top but here the problem is we can’t drag multiple rows at the same time there is no option to select the multiple rows and drag them.

No, that’s not the case, no matter if you replace an existing table or add a new table.

What kind of links are that? TablePress 2.0 is now able to import clickable links from Excel files.
Alternatively, and maybe better here: Export you current table to the CSV format (the existing links will then be in there as HTML code), and then open that CSV file in Excel. Add your new rows, and either with the new links in HTML code or add the new links later in TablePress.

I totally understand! I’ll add this to my list of ideas, but won’t promise anything. At the moment (from the requests that I get) there doesn’t seem much demand for this, so it will not be a top priority. Thanks for your understanding.

Dragging multiple rows at the same time is indeed not possible (except via the context menu, but that only allows moving one row at a time). This is something that I have on my list already.

So much thank you sir for your help and prompt response. I’m a big fan of tablepress plugin.

But it is my humble request if you could add the feature of multiple row dragging OR appending the newly imported rows on top of existing rows. It would be really great.
