When used with a FSE theme, the knowledge base page doesn’t load the theme header and footer. This problem was explained in this thread 7 months ago (see the last post of that thread by jhnpldng). Do you have any plans to correct this in the very near future? If not, I may have to switch to a different plugin.

    Regards.

  • I have asked about this as well. I wanted to take advantage of FSE themes and not have to load a separate pagebuilder, but it doesn’t seem like this issue is of much interest. It affects the other major knowledge base plugins as well – BetterDocs, Heroic KB.

The options are to go to a non-block theme or to use a pagebuilder. I am going to use Kadence, which seems to play nicely with BasePress, and has enough functionality in the free version for me.

Echo knowledge base works with FSE (at least the header and footer), but I don’t fancy the search system of the free version. But if Basepress doesn’t offer a solution, I’ll definitely switch to Echo. I’m definitely not switching to a non-block theme.

We will be looking at this and try to come up with FSE compatibility.
