    Hi,

The search results page redirects to the shop page. When I deactivate Advanced Woo Search, the default WordPress search takes me to the correct page. I am using Elementor and Generate Press. Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

When deactivating the plugin you see normal search results for pages like /?s=test&post_type=product or /?s=woo ?

Correct, when I deactivate the plugin the search results appear. When the plugin is activated, it redirects to the shop page.

Can you please give me an example of such a search results page URL?

The page search results should go to this page https://eeinc.biz/?s=bit and instead they are going to this page https://eeinc.biz/shop-catalog/.

    Hi,

In fact?https://eeinc.biz/?s=bit?URL is not correct. If we are speaking about WooCommerce products search results then the search results page must look like https://eeinc.biz/?s=bit&post_type=product . Do you see any redirect when accessing this last URL?

    Regards

Hi, the problem is it redirects to the shop/products page when you do a search. It should go to the search page and it doesn’t. If you try and do search (and hit enter) you will see it takes you to the product page, not the search results page. If I deactivate the advanced search plugin, the search results appear as they should.

So, it looks like now I see the problem.

So I made a test search for the search query ‘ut’ and got the following search page – https://eeinc.biz/?s=ut&post_type=product&type_aws=true . It is a shop page just like you said.

But I see the same page and for https://eeinc.biz/?s=ut&post_type=product – This page must display standard search results ( note that it doesn’t have &type_aws=true inside URL ). Not AWS plugin search results. But we see the same shop page here again.

Please try the following – disable AWS plugin and check https://eeinc.biz/?s=ut&post_type=product page one more time. If you still see the shop page here instead of the search results page – then probably the problem is in your theme. Maybe you can ask the theme author about this issue? Usually template for product search results must be specified inside the archive-product.php file of your theme.

When I disable the AWS plugin, the search page/results appear fine.

    Is it disabled now?

It is enabled right now. Do you have any suggestions or a redirect I can use?

I figured it out. It was the Elementor theme builder. I had to add the Search page to the product archive template.

So is it working correctly for you now?
