• Being able to understand from the few existing tutorials how to operate it is a waste of time.

It is incredible that it is not explained how to modify multiple files with the same name in order to better manage SEO indexing.

Reading the tutorials is not mandatory, as the plugin is fairly easy to use.

How can you modify multiple files in a folder on your own computer with the same name? Try it, google it ?? Then you can badly review Google for not providing the answer, everyone in the world for lack of curiosity about the subject, and maybe track down the person who created the first filesystem ever. But at the end, you made a wrong assumption, who lead you to find no answer.

I am sorry you didn’t find what you wanted, but at the same time I feel sorry for myself to be punished for a mistake which is not mine. Hopefully, you will realize that. And I am always willing to help, which makes it even sadder.

This recommendation of mine is not the only one, even in the comments of the video tutorial on youtube the same question is asked:

Can I select multiple files based on my evaluation, change the name with a simple step so that we all have the same name with the addition of the suffix 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 and so on?

Otherwise, if the plug only gives me the ability to edit one file at a time, blocking those that have already been edited, it’s easy to do it from the native wordpress media library.

Settings > Advanced > Enabled Numbering.

However, that’s only available in the Pro Version. It’s also mentioned in the Description of the plugin. That said, if you look at the Settings of the Media File Renamer for one minute, you definitely find it.

No, it isn’t, it’s impossible to rename files with WordPress natively. This is why this plugin was made at the first place.

Last but not least: Renaming files in bulk into the same names (but only with a number to make them unique at the end) is not recommended. For SEO, having different names is much better.

I believe this discussion should have taken place in the Support Threads, and not in a 1-star review titled “Disastrous”. But I’ll let my users be the judges of that…
