    Dear Support,

I love your plugin, I use it since years. Now I have a problem: I’ve changed a post (what I already had) and new pictures in galleries (basic WP gallery) not showing up in Lightbox but in their attachement url page.

When I make mixed gallery, Simple Lightbox also works only with older pictures.

“Older” means all pictures from 2022 uploading; newer pictures (with this problem) are from 2023 Media folder.

Everything is updated on the site and nothing has changed before the problem appeared; I don’t use caching on the site and also tried with emptied browser cache (incognito mode).

    Thank you in advance!

Update: I’ve tried it on a new post now, only with pictures what I upload now – Lightbox not working with them.

    Thank you in advance! ??

Hi, it appears that the newly-uploaded images have a different URL structure than what WordPress is expecting:

    Original structure:

    https://www.domain.con/post-name/image-name/

    New structure:

    https://www.domain.con/post-name/attachment/image-name/

Note the addition of the /attachment/ segment in the new URL.

The result of the modified URL structure is that WordPress does not recognize the new URLs as image attachment URLs to be displayed in the lightbox.

I could find no reference to this being a change implemented in WordPress itself, so it may be related to a different plugin (e.g. some SEO plugins modify URL structures) or a setting in your active theme.

Here are some instructions for identifying the plugin/theme causing the conflict. Once the plugin/theme modifying the attachment URL structure is identified, please provide the details of the plugin/theme (name, link, related settings, etc.) so that we can investigate further.

Also, a workaround is to change the gallery’s “Link To” setting to “Media File” instead of “Attachment page”. This should allow WordPress to recognize all gallery links as images and display them in the lightbox.

    @archetyped Thank you so much!

You are absolutely right, I did not noticed the change of url structure of media files. I still don’t understand, why was happened, but doesn’t matter because your suggestion worked:

“change the gallery’s “Link To” setting to “Media File” instead of “Attachment page”” – It solved the problem! ??

Thank you so much for your effort! ?? Perfect support! ??
