I have a plugin that uses puc (via a plugin https://github.com/YahnisElsts/plugin-update-checker ) to deliver updates via github. When I go to the wordpress admin panel and click on “Updates”, updates are shown as expected. However, via MainWP I can’t seem to check for updates for this plugin. It sees all sites with the plugin (and some already have the newer version due to auto-updating), but MainWP itself can’t detect available updates for this plugin.
So my question is: how does MainWP check for site plugin updates? Or does something else need to be put in place for MainWP to detect updates?

    Hey @liedekef

In general, if the updates are visible on the Updates page on the Child Site, they should be visible on the MainWP Dashboard as well.

However, we are unable to cover all custom solutions for checking and delivering updates for plugins/themes.

You may try following the steps in this help document to enhance the compatibility with these custom solutions: https://kb.mainwp.com/docs/premium-plugin-updates-not-detected/

It was written for Premium plugins, but the principle is the same since the method of delivery of update is not through www.ads-software.com, that is, it is non-standard.
