Does anyone know of a plugin or way to allow the editing of product variations in orders along with their add-on options in a similar manner as on the product page itself? If this requires custom coding is there a plugin that will get me close?

Currently, I’m using Calculated Fields Form for my product options, but I’m open to using something else to gain this ability. I already tried Formidable Forms. It wasn’t quite all it was cracked up to be from what I saw.

  • Hi @omrto

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you want to modify the product variation under WooCommerce > Orders similar to how you edit them under Products > Edit, is that correct?

Hmm, this is a fairly complex development topic that would require customization to do it. Since custom coding is outside our scope of support, I am leaving this thread open for a bit to see if anyone can chime in to help you out.

For questions related to development and custom coding, your best bet is to ask on any of these channels for support. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, too.

    Hope this helps!

Kind of. I’d like to be able have drop downs and radio buttons when in WooCommerce>Orders>Edit Order. Of course, that data would have to be pulled in from the database. Yes, I figured it would have to be a custom coded solution. Are there hooks available for this? Or a template file?

    Hello @omrto,

Only the customer information can be edited after an order has been made. I’m not aware of any hooks or easy methods around this.

If there’s ever a problem with the order, you can always create a new order from WooCommerce > Orders > Add new.

There is a plugin that allows the products to be changed, but not the options or meta data.

    https://woocommerce.com/products/edit-order-by-customer/

That doesn’t help me, though. If this plugin can edit products in orders then there should be a way to edit meta data as well.

    Hi @omrto ,

As @xue28 mentioned, what you would like to achieve is fairly complex and would require quite a bit of custom code.

After checking, I have found this article which may be helpful.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you Roxy for that link. The code there looks promising. I’ll need to spend some time with it, as I’m not a programmer, but I can read PHP fairly well.
