• Hi.

After a WordPress update to a newer version I am receiving the following message “Page cache is not detected and the server response time is slow” under site health which hasn’t been there previously.

Additionally I’m getting “The scheduled event, action_scheduler_run_queue, failed to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended.”

Is this a common error? Does this imply that the update didn’t work?

(By the way, under recommendations I’m getting “Use a persistent object-cache” as well)

    Thank you

There is no page cache by default. “Page cache is not detected” implies performance might be improved by installing one. “server response time is slow” is unusual and indicates issues with your server or host. If you’re OK with your site’s performance you may ignore this warning. Or perhaps install a caching plugin.

A problem with scheduled events is unfortunately not unheard of. This too is often due to server or hosting issues. Some hosts have suggestions on things to try to repair the issue. Despite being an article by a certain host, the suggestions are generic. I’m not endorsing this host, their article just happens to be one of the first I found.
