• I enjoy using this plugin! We recently added an event that is going well. Therefore, we would like to add the queue option. The only problem is that you receive the same auto reply email. As a result, our quests may think that they do have access to the event while it is sold out.

Is there a way to not send the auto reply when people sign up for the queue?

The wait list functionality is limited, the notes on the development plan are
. Waitlist processing relies on dynamic counting of places when the attendee reports are run.
. There is not difference of feature for the auto responder to indicate an attendee is on a wait list. ( really your issue )
. There is no process that notifies any one when wait list status changes, it requires manullay attendee report review.

Currently enhancement to Waitlist – whist noted limitations – is unfunded.

There is a filter ‘qem_autoresponder-message-content’ so you can write some code to adjust the content if people are on the wait list. As mentioned in point 1 it is slightly complex as you have to determine the count dynamically to see if it is exceeded. But it is all entirely possible if you are handy at code.
