First of all, thanks for the plugin, I’ve used it a few times and it’s really good!

Uninstalling the plugin does not remove it 100%, there is some garbage in the database, not much but some records. It’s annoying when plugins aren’t removed completely and leave traces behind.

So, it would be good if when I remove the plugin, it is really removed, as if it had never been installed.

In the options table the Duplicator leaves the following records:
    – duplicator_pro_exe_safe_mode
    – duplicator_activate_plugins_after_installation
    – duplicator_migration_data
    – bsr_data (I think)

I would like to confirm that the “bsr_data” actually belongs to the Duplicator and that I can safely remove that record. And are there any other records that I haven’t found?

And again, thank you so much for the plugin!

When you open Duplicator > Settings > General under Uninstall you have the option to chose what to delete when the plugin gets uninstalled. When the option “Delete Plugin Settings” is selected, everything related to Duplicator in the database will also be deleted (note, the same is true for Duplicator Pro).

The first three tables are related to Duplicator Pro and won’t get deleted by uninstalling Duplicator, but will be deleted when Duplicaotr PRO will be uninstalled.

Also, the bsr_data table isn’t related to Duplicator or Duplicator Pro.

    Hope this information is helpful.

    Thanks for the reply @devdavidam

I didn’t use Duplicator Pro and the “Delete Plugin Settings” option was selected, however those records were created and not deleted when removing the plugin.

I already found out that the bsr_data is from another plugin, which also didn’t delete all records after being removed.

@ricjcs it might be a problem related to database permissions. Do you know if the database user has permissions to drop tables?

Also, I don’t understand how Duplicator Pro related tables could appear in your database without using that plugin, since Duplicator Lite doesn’t create it.

Anyway, we will have a look into this issue, and you can safely remove the earlier mentioned tables.

    Yes, it had permissions.

I think these records were created after installing the package. They were created in the wp_options table, and at least one of the records with the autoload set to “yes”. The tables that the plugin created were removed, only those records (I didn’t detect any more) remained after the uninstallation. I’ve noticed this on more than one site.

Ok, thanks for the feedback, Ricardo. We will have a closer look at this.
