Home Page will not load with Amazon Auto Insert Code Active

  • When I have Amazon Auto Insert allowed to auto insert the Amazon code on the home page it does not allow the page to load. If I Purge Cache on site and refresh the site loads correctly.

    I am on Siteground Server with Siteground CDN active.

    Hi,

    I’m not sure what would be the cause with the given information.

    Could you try creating a test page and show the auto-insert item that causes the problem? If it doesn’t display the associated units properly. Please try putting a shortcode specifying a unit id like [amazon_auto_links id="123"] where 123 should be your unit ID.

    If it displays unit outputs, create a test auto-insert item specifying the unit shown with the test shortcode above. Then try to see if the test auto-insert item displays the associated unit. While doing this, make sure other auto-insert items are turned off.

    If I use the short codes only, the site pages works and loads correctly. If any auto insert code is on the site does not load. If there is any of your code on the home page it will not load. Its only a problem on the home page. If I go direct to another page on the site with your codes those pages will work. If I have your code on other pages but not the home page the site works correctly. But as soon as any of your code is on the home page the site will not load unless I purge the dashboard back end server cache.

    How much do you charge for support and debugging?

    I suspect it is something to do with other caching plugins or CDN.

    As for paid support, it depends. In this case, it sounds complicated to solve but it can be super simple. If you can copy the entire site to somewhere for investigation, it will help detect the cause.

    I would first check what happens with the default theme and all the other plugins deactivated. Probably it will show the output properly. Then switching back to the theme you use and activate the plugins one by one. At some point, you’ll see the symptom. Then you can tell which one causes the conflict.

    Turning off CDN is not an option if that is the issue then sadly your plugin is not going to work for me. I have turned off most of the caching feature that I am willing to not use before running into performance issues. Nothing seems to be solving my issue of the home page not loading when your shortcodes are active. I had the plugin installed on three sites and would get different results on each. It would work one day then fail the next.

    I really loved the plugin functionality and wish it was a solution for me. I agree it is some kind of CDN or Cache issue but if I have to turn those things off for your plugin to work it is not worth for me.

    At this time I will be looking for another solution. If for you own knowledge you would like to poke around the sites I will make you a demo site. Thank you for your time.
