Hello, I’m using the ‘WooCommerce blocks’ – products by attribute and hand-picked products block for my e-commerce website. So far it displays the product image, title, price , rating and the add to cart button. I’d like to add the product category name below the product title to the this as well. May I know how I can code it?

    Hello @ashwinisuresh1407,

You can use the Products (Beta) block instead. First, add a couple of blocks per category of products you have.

You can then add a paragraph or button block below the title that redirects to the category page of the product.

To learn more about WooCommerce blocks, you can check this guide: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-blocks/

    Hope this helps!

    Hi @babylon1999,

Thank you for your response I tried the product(beta) block and added a link to the category below the title. But this led to a critical error on website and I had to deactivate WooCommerce, delete the block and reactivate it. However, the products (beta) block works fine on another page where I haven’t added a link or text to the product category in the block.

Could you let me know what I’m doing wrong?

    Best,

    Ashwini

Apologies. I did not use the products (beta) version elsewhere. Do you think this issue is because of my theme? I’m using the woostify theme currently.

This is quite strange as I was not able to reproduce the issue here. Here’s how it’s displayed on my end:

I apologize as I am quite confused of your inquiry here. Can you please share what blocks are you using here?

If a screenshot would be helpful, I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Hi,

So I creates a new page and just added the products (beta) block to it.

I could not publish it and when I opened it in preview I got a critical error message.

My inquiry was, how can I add product category meta below product title to my WooCommerce blocks. So far I’ve used products by category and hand-picked products blocks.

    Hi @ashwinisuresh1407

    >I could not publish it and when I opened it in preview I got a critical error message.

It is likely that your theme or one of your plugins is conflicting with the updated version of WooCommerce.

I would recommend that you perform a full conflict test to see if you can find the cause. Here’s how to do that: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi,

Thank you for this. I think its my theme (Woostify) that is conflicting with this block. I will contact them.

    Hi there @ashwinisuresh1407

Since the culprit of this issue is likely with the store’s active theme, and you will be getting in touch with its support channel, I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved.

Feel free to reach back, and share the findings or create a new one, should you need any help with another issue.

    Thank you. ??</img>
