• I am having issues with Step 5 of the install process for WordPress. I can’t seem to run the install script. CuteFTP says my PHP is not running, but I contacted IX Web Hosting and they said there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with my server. I’m very new to this and have no idea how to fix it. Any help would be much appreciated!

You have to run the installation script in your browser, not your FTP client.

When I try to run it in my browser it gives me the error message: HTTP 500 Internal Server Error, saying there’s a programming error but I have no idea what that error is.

Internal server errors are usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you have access to your server error log, generate the error again, note the date and time, then immediately check your server error log for anything useful. If you don’t have access to your server error log, ask your hosting provider to look for you.
