Hi, I’m encountering this error message . I cannot save any changes/edits to my website.

I have deactivated all plugins to then re-activate them one by one to see which plugin’s causing problem. YEP, it’s elementor.

    Any suggestions?

I have disabled the .htaccess and created new one as per the Wpress one.

    This dis not help.

When I edit when Elementor is deactivated, seems to work – But ALL MY PAGES are designed with the Elementor page builder.

Please help. Thank you so much.

    Jenny

  • Try increasing your PHP max_execution_timeout and the wp_memory_limit ?

Otherwise enable WP_DEBUG and check the debug.log in /wp-content for the issues

    Hi,

500 errors are server issues that can result from several reasons.

To fix this issue, please read this guide and follow the steps specified for troubleshooting.

    As a temporary workaround:

    1. Go to the page with the error.
    2. Click on the arrow next to the Update/Publish button.
    3. Choose to Save as Template and give it a name.
    4. Open a new page and click Add template.
    5. Click My Templates and click Import next to the template you saved earlier.

    Hi There!

    Thank you Elementor Team.

That helped and worked! It was just one page that had the error. So, I just did a Save Template of that page. I then created a New Page and put in that template and made the edits I wanted, and was able to Save. Thanks!

    Thanks @jinsley8

I didn’t really understand your instructions to be honest. but, I appreciate your response to help out. In the end, I followed the Server error 500 on the Elementor troubleshooting page and managed to resolve by just creating a New Page.

I’m curious as to what the problem was… But, creating a New Page and adding the Saved Template of previous (non-functioning b/c of error) page, worked. I can now edit and Save. Thanks.
