    Hello there

because of some reason I need to stop SSL and goes on with http protocol only. as wordfence is active on my website it prevents stopping ssl. I have disabled ssl in wp dashboard also I have entered some codes in wp-config but again my site works with ssl.

would you please help me with this?

thank you so much in advance

  • Thanks for reaching out.

When you say that Wordfence prevents you from stopping SSL, what exactly do you mean? Do you see an error in the admin pages when you are turning off SSL by some means? Or is it just that you still are able to see https returning as valid or the default and you think that Wordfence is the cause?

    Thanks!

    Thanks Mia for your consideration,

it’s steel valid and my website loads with https no matter what method I use. I contacted the hosting company that I work with and ask for the solution, then they answered me back that it’s wordfence that makes this trouble. and as I think now, they may be wrong. for your information, there is no error or notification or alert or any kind of message from the plugin,

    Sincerely Esmaeil

The problem with the hosting company’s logic is that we don’t bother the SSL certificate or how it works. Your hosting support representative likely doesn’t understand it, or how plugins work, at all.
