• When I click “Save indexing options and build the index,” nothing happens for almost a minute, then I get a screen with no styling. When I reload, the dashboard has no styling and, when I reload and the dashboard looks normal again, the “Relevanssi needs attention” nag is still present.

Until this is resolved, I can’t use the plugin. Perhaps there is some kind of time out happening. If so, can a status notice be loaded, instead of waiting for the index to be rebuilt?

Are you running 2.1.2? If not, please update. If you are, what does the state of the index say? Are there any posts in the index?

If there are, try clicking “Continue indexing” until everything is indexed.

If nothing gets indexed, it’s not a timeout, but a fatal incompatibility problem. Could be some plugin, for example – I had to disable Flowplayer plugin while indexing.

    Yes.

    I removed and reinstalled 2.1.2.

Upon install, I received the following full-screen WordPress error:

“The plugin does not have a valid header.”

One other thing to mention: I’m installing on WP 3.0.1 multisite: network activate.

Ah, that might be the problem, then. I’ve never even tested Relevanssi on multisite WordPress. It’s on my to-do list, though.

Thank you for checking into that.
