Hi, for some reason sometimes the description of orders, containing the order number, does not contain the actual order number, but just the variable text “{bestelnummer}”, when it is communicated from the mollie plugin to your platform. For our bookkeeping this is quite annoying, because this is then also visible in our Mollie dashboard, and export files, where we need the order number.

I am pretty sure the issue is not caused on our side, and the randomness of this occurrence within one and the same product does not give any pointers to how to debug this.

Any idea how to tackle this? Ever heard of this issue with other customers?

    Thank you, regards.

    Hello all,

Thank you @martje65 this issue was indeed resolved with the 7.3.0 release. Please make sure that you are up-to-date with the plugin and let me know if you still encounter this issue with this last release (version 7.3.5).

I will mark this thread as resolved for now (but we can reopen if needed).

    Kind regards,
    Joost

Hi @joostvandevijver , thanks for the clarification.

I would like to make the argument though that the order number that is communicated to the transactions overview in the Mollie account, is important enough as a central data element, that it should not be dependant on descriptions or translation files. Maybe its an idea that the order number deserves its own database entry in your Mollie databases, and not make its existence solely depend on a description field.

    Regards.

    Hello @tezalsec

Our plugin only uses the WooCommerce order number and sends it to Mollie as the reference. We don’t do any translation or adjustment to other details. Whatever details are used from Mollie are not controlled or managed by our plugin.
If the description is needed or needs to get adjusted, that can be done in the advanced setting “API Payment Description”, but is static and controlled by the merchant.

There is no further adjustments our team are planning for this situation, so if you need any customer output, we suggest looking into the plugins or apps you are using for gathering these details or get in contact with Mollie.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
