Frontpage edit vs preview

Im having trouble with Zeever theme – When I set the chosen page as frontpage it overrides the changes that Ive already made using the patterns and templates.The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

To edit front page, please make sure you edit it using Editor. You can go to Appearance > Editor.
Since my problem is the same. I edit the homepage but it is not showing on the frontend. I myself kind of found that editing works via Themes>Editor.
The question is should we stop using default page/post editor?
Suggestion: Please put a tutorial on making a site using FSE
