403 – forbidden error on settings page

    Hi,

    I get a

    “403 –Forbidden You do not have permission to access this document.” –

    error when I try to save changes on the settings page. It worked before, I didn’t change anything except for the regular updates. It’s the only plugin on this site. Everything else works fine. File and directory permissions are set as suggested.

    Any ideas what happened?

    OK, found a solution by myself: setting php to run as FPM – nginx solved it.

    Running as FPM – apache results in 403 error, reason:
    “Possible JSON-Based SQL Injection”

    That tracks: this kind of issue is usually due to security rules that the server uses.

    Great that you found a solution, another way to deal with this is to set up an exception to the security rule that allows the page data to be submitted.
