Ordering variations no longer works

    Hi,

    Recently, the ordering variations on the product page, does not actually take effect on the front end. You can still drag it in a different order in edit mode, but it is not changing on the front end.

    I already disabled all other plugins and switched to the Storefront theme, but the issue stays, looks like a bug.

    I updated to the most recent version today, but still same issue.

    Can this be fixed please?

    Yes – something odd is happening with order variations. But only on our French site not our English site. In our case, the variations are loading correctly but the quantity limits aren’t enforced. I am trying to understand if this is a Woocommerce problem (I think so) or another plug-in or theme is interfering. Still trying to debug. I also believe this happened after the last update.

    I should add that we are using the Storefront theme.

    Thanks for your input, funny that it does not happen on the English version. I did not try that, who knows!

    Best thing to find out is to deactivate all other plugins, change to storefront, but you already use that ( make sure you do not have a child theme with custom code) that could also cause issues, every now and then.

    I hope there is something that can be done to fix this!

    Tonight I will roll back the French site to previous Woocommerce version to see if the difficulty reverses.

    Thanks, but that GitHub issue, is not about ordering variations and this topic. It does seem to prove that things are not going well, regarding variations in general.

    I switched to English, but same issue, it was worth a try haha.

    I doubt rolling back will help, because I had the issue even before updating…

    I’ve read that the order of variations no longer works, may I ask, were you able to re-order the variations in a previous version of WooCommerce?

    Can you navigate under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs? (Check if there is any error visible, if so, let us know).

    Correct, it is on GitHub.
    Yes, we could re-order before, why else would there be the option to re-order, right? But it worked before, yes.

    Woocommerce > System Status > Logs is only some tests log that is empty:
