Hi! Starting from either 5.6 or 5.6.4 version of Contact Form 7 plugin, there is a conflict with WPFront Notification Bar plugin: I have a bar fixed at the bottom of a screen. This bar follows user, when he is scrolling. And now, this notification bar becomes fixed right at the bottom of the page (only on “Contacts” page). It doesn’t follow user.

I know, that it’s more related to Contact Form 7 plugin. But it’s developer doesn’t respond. So, maybe you can fix it from your side?

The problem happens only on mobile device (I have iPhone 6, and I’ve tested several browser apps). Here is a video with the problem:?https://ru.files.fm/f/dn7ww6v5t?(I started to record from other page, to show you, how this bar is working there. And then I go to “Contacts” page, and show you, that the bar is fixed at the bottom of a page).

    P. S. When you’ll go to my website, there is a simple antibot captcha. Please, don’t click on a wrong image there.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi, @swathiswpfront !

It’s because of my antibot. I’ve just temporarily disabled it. I hope, that you’ll be able to take a look at this page asap. Thank you!

@swathiswpfront I’ll be able to have my antibot disabled for 4 hours at best. I hope, that you’ll be able to take a look at the problem earlier ??

You probably were blocked by a country rule in antibot. I have DE, US and NL blocked because of bots. So, turning on VPN might help. Or I can whitelist your IP.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, @swathiswpfront . Unfortunately, I can whitelist only by ipv4. However, I think I know the reason, why you get blocked. And I’ve just turned it off, so you’ll be able to see captcha.

Please, respond, if you can access my website now (at least, with VPN). Thank you!

    Hello @giorgos93,

We tested it on an android phone and it works fine for us. We cannot try it on iPhone as we don’t have it.

Could you please test it on an android phone and confirm the same?

    Thanks!

    Hi, @swathiswpfront

I’ve just tested the page on Android phone. Fixation works fine.

I guess, it’s related only to iPhones. I am not an expert, but I remember having problems with fixed menu only on iPhone. Because I had to add in style.css file a separate position: -webkit-sticky; rule for fixation on iPhones. So, maybe, Contact Form 7 plugin somehow overwrites this rule (if you have such rule for your plugin)?

Also, I thought, that it’s related to my old Google Chrome app version. Because iPhone 6 is an old model, so newer versions of Google Chrome app are not supported for a long time for my phone. However, I tested this page from Safari and Yandex Browser (it’s a popular browser, that is still updating for my phone). But on all browsers, the bar is unfixed.

So, the problem is related only to iPhones directly, I guess. Probably old ones. Unfortunately, I don’t have newer iPhone models. Or I’d test the page.

Well, I gave you everything, that I was able to ?? I hope, that now you can find and fix the problem.

Update: I’ve just asked someone to look at the page from iPhone XR. Everything works okay there. So, it’s related either to iPhone 6 (or it’s iOS version, maybe – I have the last one avaliable for me: ver. 12.5.7). Or it’s related to several old iPhones, before XR at least.

I remember having another problem related only to old iPhones. So it won’t surprise me.

And also I want to add, that when I’ve just updated Contact Form 7 plugin, then the notification bar was fixed for me as well. But after some time, it became unfixed. I have no idea, how this happened. But I was able to repeat it a couple times, by downgrading / upgrading contact form plugin.

So, maybe, the bar doesn’t become unfixed for other users immediately as well? Who knows. Maybe a visitor has to open several different pages on my website, and visit the contact form page some time later. That’s the last theory, that I have.

Sorry, we are helpless as we don’t have an iPhone.

Well, if it’s only for iPhone 6, or old iPhones in general, then it’s not that important
