Really Confused with GA3+4

    Hi

    I have read the support documentation but I am still confused.

    I am trying to run GA3+4 (happy to only run 4 if it is easier).

    I have set up Complianz – GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent and done my best to follow the instructions, but my GA3+4 traffic is way down.

    Can you please help me fix it?

    Hi @tim_marston,

    It’s configured correctly, but you’re asking consent for statistics. Which might be needed in your situation.

    This would explain the drop in traffic. You can go to the wizard, consent – statistics and check all three checkboxes and on the next page you can decide if you want to ask consent for statistics.

    But GA4 views still way down compared to GSC.

    Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

    Hi @tim_marston,

    As far as I can see on the screenshot, it looks like you’ve entered an invalid GA property ID in the Complianz Wizard.

    GA4 properties will always start with G-, and UA properties with UA-, your ID doesn’t seem to be prefixed with anything at the moment.
